Refund policy
Fourteen days, any reason, in full. Paid back by the merchant of record that took the money.
Last updated 2 September 2026
The short version. Ask within 14 days of a charge and you get all of it back. The request goes to the payment provider named on your receipt — one link, no form, no reason to give, no “let me transfer you to retention”.
What is covered
Any charge for Glidepad Pro — a first purchase or a renewal, monthly or yearly — within 14 days of that charge. It does not matter why. “It does not work on my touchpad”, “I changed my mind” and “I forgot I bought it” are all the same answer.
Fourteen days is the window the merchant of record already works to. Our policy is set to match it deliberately, so that one request settles the matter and nobody has to arbitrate between two different promises.
How to ask
Use the refund link in your receipt. The merchant of record is the seller on your invoice and the one holding the money, so that is the route that actually moves it, and it needs nothing from us to work.
Lost the receipt, or the link will not cooperate? Email support@glidepad.app and we will find the order and point you at it. We cannot pay the refund ourselves — the money never passed through us — but we do not refuse requests made inside the window, and the provider knows it.
How long it takes
- The provider approves the request and returns the money to the card or account you paid with.
- Its terms allow up to 14 days to process an approved refund; in practice it is much faster.
- Banks then take a further 3–10 business days to show it. That part is out of everyone’s hands.
Renewals
A renewal that catches you off guard is covered by the same 14 days, counted from the renewal charge rather than from the original purchase.
To avoid the situation altogether, cancel from the link in your receipt at any time. Cancelling is not the same as a refund: it stops future charges, and Pro keeps working until the period you already paid for ends.
What happens after a refund
Pro features switch off. Everything else — the extension, the free tier, your settings, the sites you assigned — stays exactly as it was. Nothing is deleted and nothing is locked.
Chargebacks
Ask for a refund before asking your bank. A refund is one link and a few days; a chargeback takes months, costs fees on both sides, and ends the licence automatically. Inside the window there is nothing to gain by escalating first.
Your statutory rights
If you are a consumer in the EU or the UK you have a statutory right to withdraw from a purchase within 14 days. For digital content that right normally lapses the moment you start using what you bought. This policy does not lapse: the 14 days run whether or not you have used Pro. It sits on top of your statutory rights rather than replacing them, and whichever gives you more is the one that applies.
