Terms of service
What you may do with Glidepad, what happens when you pay for it, and what we promise and do not promise.
Last updated 2 September 2026
The short version. Use Glidepad on your own machines as much as you like. Do not resell it or break the licence check. Pro renews until you cancel and is refundable for 14 days through the seller named on your receipt. It is software written by one person and comes with no warranty, but if it does not work for you, you get your money back.
1. Who you are dealing with
Glidepad — the browser extension, this website and any related material — is made and operated by Ivan Korost, an independent developer (“we”, “us”). You can reach us at support@glidepad.app.
Pro is not on sale yet. When it opens, subscriptions will be sold through a third-party merchant of record — an authorised reseller that becomes the seller named on your invoice. Its own buyer terms will govern the payment transaction, and it will be named here, with a link to those terms, before the first sale. These terms govern your use of the software either way.
2. Your licence
The free version is licensed to you at no charge, with no time limit, for personal or business use.
A Pro subscription licenses the Pro features to you personally for as long as the subscription is active. One subscription covers every browser and machine you personally use. The licence is non-exclusive and non-transferable.
3. What you may not do
- Resell, sublicense, rent out or redistribute Glidepad, modified or not.
- Share, resell or forge licence keys, or bypass the check that reads them.
- Present Glidepad, or anything derived from it, as your own product.
- Use our name, wordmark or icon to suggest we endorse something we do not.
Taking the extension apart to understand it, to check what it does with your data, or to make it work with something else, is fine. Where your local law gives you a right to do that, nothing here restricts it.
4. Subscriptions and billing
- Prices are in US dollars. Tax is handled by the merchant of record for your country and shown before you pay.
- Subscriptions renew automatically — yearly plans once a year, monthly plans once a month — until cancelled.
- You can cancel any time from the link in your receipt or by email. Cancelling stops the next charge; Pro keeps working until the paid period ends.
- Price changes are announced at least 30 days in advance by email and never apply to a period already paid for.
- If a payment fails, the payment provider retries it. If it keeps failing, Pro reverts to the free tier and nothing is lost except the Pro features.
5. Refunds
Fourteen days, any reason, in full. The money comes back from the merchant of record that sold you the licence rather than from us; the route is in the refund policy, which forms part of these terms. Nothing in these terms limits statutory rights you have as a consumer where you live.
6. Changes to the software
Glidepad lives inside a browser we do not control. Browser vendors change and remove capabilities, and a change of that kind can take a feature with it. If it happens we will say so plainly rather than quietly drop it, and if a Pro feature becomes impossible we will offer a fair refund of the unused part.
Features may also be added, changed or retired. We will not remove something you paid for during a period you have already paid for.
7. No warranty
Glidepad is provided “as is”. We do not warrant that it works with every touchpad, driver, browser version or website, or that it will be uninterrupted or error-free. The live check on the home page runs the same recognizer the extension ships with, so you can find out how your hardware behaves before you pay anything.
If you are a consumer, none of that touches your statutory right to digital content that matches its description and works as it should. In the EU and the UK that right exists whatever a disclaimer says, and it applies here.
8. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim connected to Glidepad is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost profit, lost data or lost time.
Nothing here excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded — including death or personal injury caused by negligence, or fraud.
9. Ending it
You can stop at any time: uninstall the extension, cancel the subscription, done.
We may suspend or end a licence if section 3 is breached, or if a payment is reversed by a chargeback. Where the breach is fixable we will ask first.
10. Changes to these terms
These terms may be updated. The date at the top of this page always shows the current version, and material changes are announced by email to active subscribers at least 30 days ahead. If you do not accept a change, cancel; and if the change lands mid-period, ask and the remainder comes back.
11. Governing law
No business entity has been registered for Glidepad yet and nothing is on sale. These terms are governed by the law of the place where the developer is established; that place, and the name it is registered under, will be stated in section 1 before the first sale.
Whatever it turns out to be, it does not deprive you, as a consumer, of the protection of the mandatory consumer law of your own country of residence, and you may bring proceedings there. The purchase itself is made from the merchant of record under its own buyer terms, and those name the law that governs the payment.
12. Contact
Anything unclear, write and ask: support@glidepad.app. A question about these terms is a sign they are badly written, and the answer usually ends up on this page.
