Before you write: the live check
The panel at the top of the home page runs the same recognizer the extension ships with. If it counts your swipes but the extension does not, that is a settings problem and easy to fix. If it does not count them either, that is a hardware or driver problem and worth mentioning first — tell us what the numbers in that panel do when you swipe.
What to put in the message
- Browser and version — the whole line from
chrome://versionoredge://version. - Operating system and version.
- Touchpad model, if you know it. Windows Device Manager lists it under “Mice and other pointing devices”.
- What you did, what you expected and what happened instead.
- Whether it happens on every page or on one particular site.
None of it is mandatory. Write in whatever detail you have and we will ask if something is missing.
Things we already know
- Three- and four-finger gestures do not work, and cannot. Windows takes those before any browser sees them, and no extension can reach around that.
- macOS is not supported yet. Chrome runs there and the events arrive, but macOS does its own two-finger navigation and that combination has not been tested properly. Until it has, we will not claim it works.
- Firefox is being prepared and is not published yet.
- The browser’s own swipe animation is gone while Glidepad is on. That is deliberate: browser swipe navigation fires on the slightest movement and would race the gesture, so Glidepad switches it off in both directions and walks history itself. The first line of the popup turns the whole thing back over to the browser.
Billing and invoices
Payments run through a third-party merchant of record. Your receipt email has a link that gives you the invoice, the payment method and a cancel button. Write to us if you cannot find it — we can look up an order from the email address you paid with.
Want your money back? Fourteen days, no questions.
Bugs and requests
Both welcome, and neither needs an account anywhere. A bug report with the numbers from the live check attached is worth more than a long description — the whole product is a threshold problem, and thresholds are measurable.
